Posted September 27, 2007 in How To | 399 views | 0 comments

As Boy Scouts everywhere know, tin foil dinners can make or break camping trips. The Camping Guy has 9 easy to fix tin foil dinner recipes that are sure to please most hungry campers. Surf or turf (or Oriental chicken?!) your tin foil dinner is sure to be a success if you follow his simple cooking tips:

  • Cook on coals or charcoals
  • Use 2 or more layers of tin foil or heavy-duty foil
  • Keep the shiny side of the tin foil inside
  • Rotate your tin packets often to prevent burning
  • Use tongs or heavy leather gloves to pick up hot foil packets, and don’t rip the foil
  • After cooking, let dinner set for a few minutes to prevent burnt mouths
