Welcome to Jellyfish Lake

created on: 02/27/08

Jellyfish Lake is located in Palau and was made famous to non-divers by being featured on Survivor Palau. The lake used to have an outlet to the Pacific, but not any more. Its isolation has produced an incredible population of jellyfish. They do have stingers--called nematocysts--but they're small and produce no ill effects for divers wanting to enjoy the view. Via.
