Deep Field.

Watching the midnight sun on Pine Island Glacier one of the fastest moving glaciers in Antarctica this glacier puts more ice into the sea than any other.
We flew in to set up a field camp for scientists who are trying to find why the glacier is speeding up.
The camp is 3000ft above sea level.

-30 plus wind chill made for a cold stay and waking up in the morning with ice around the opening of my sleeping bag where the mositure in my breath froze.
The camp moves 3 meters a day, not that you feel it but the thought of your tent moving while you sleep is strange.
Every day I wake feeling so lucky to be able to experience this and go where no one has been before.
A true wilderness.
I also got the chance to stop off at Castle which is another camp near the Ellsworth Mountains which was a change of scenery from the flat white plateau of Pine Island.
