Comfort gets nicer as the day gets longer

created on: 07/19/08

Anyone who's spent more than a couple hours in a canoe seat knows what that can do to your back.

Like me, you've probably gone through several manufacturers' best efforts to bring some relief in that department.

I still wasn't completely satisfied until I tried Crazy Creek's Canoe Chair III. It snugs over top of the molded seat of my canoe with an inch and half of closed-cell foam between me and that hard plastic seat. The bottom of the foam presses into the shape of the seat.

When we put in for the night, the quick-release straps lived up to their name, letting me pull the seat free and drop it next to the campfire for comfort there as well.
