Sharing your passion for backpacking with the birds

Probably not really gear, if you want to be technical about it, but this is just too cute not to mention.

The backpack birdhouse is a miniature replica of a canvass rucksack, with a few modifications to make it into a birdhouse.

There’s the hold in the front for access by the birds, and the back opens for easy cleaning.

It’s sort of small – 6 inches by 8-1/4 inches by 9-1/4 inches – even for a birdhouse for most species. Wrens would probably love the thing.

But it’s well made, crafted from a bit more than three pounds of Polystone, and it’s authentically hand-painted.

It sells for $34.95 from Outside Inside.
